Malevolent celtic spirits that haunted scotlands inland waterways enticing men to their doom. 
Its where we get the modern name for mermaids. 
These three are hanging out in the mill pond at Preston Mill in East Linton . There has been a lot of wild swimming during lockdown , ive not actually seen anyone in the mill pond but Ive swum in the main river here a few times :-)
